Palak calls on gamers to ensure their fair share in global market

Ulka Games was established in 2018. In 2019, Moon-frog Labs of India invested heavily in this company. Steel Front Group, a Swedish-based mobile games company, has recently acquired the two companies for Tk 7.5 billion. In this case, the state minister of ICT thinks that the capability of Bangladesh in the field of mobile game and app development has been noticed by the world. Zunaid Ahmed Palak called on the hundreds of gaming companies and their makers to ensure their fair share in the growing mobile game market in the country. He made the call while speaking as the chief guest at the Digital Career Conclave 2021 organized by Ulka Games and Two Hours Job on Tuesday. Analyzing the statistics of the global mobile market, the state minister said that by 2025, the country's mobile game market will cross one billion dollars. In his speech, Palak further said that 16,000 app and game developers have been created through the mobile apps and gaming project. At the university level, 41 mobile app testing and gaming labs have been set up. Initiatives have been taken to make a game about the liberation war. The state minister said one crore people are getting 1500 types of services every month from 8,000 digital centers spread across the country. Joy Digital Service Employment Center is being set up across the country to build a strong nation and smart Bangladesh by 2041. The ICT department is trying to make IT freelancers entrepreneurs from these centers and make them successful with proper training and support. Two-housr Job founder Sanjida Khandaker, Ulka Game founder Jamilur Rashid, Bangladesh Supreme Court lawyer and Bangladesh Copyright and IP Forum founder Barrister Hamidul Misbah, Bangladesh Organization for Learning and Development were present on the occasion.
